Open Competitions 2010 - How to enter

The following information applies only to open tournaments run and managed by Sussex County Croquet Club. Internal competitions, SECF competitions and CA sponsored tournaments must be entered in the usual way and not from this site.

The Tournament Secretary is on holiday from 6/9/2010 until 5/10/2010 so all queries and entries during that period will not be dealt with until his return.
For entries and queries concerning the September Advanced Weekend during that period, please email advweekend@sussexcountycroquetclub.org.uk

You can enter an open tournament at SCCC in two ways:
  1. Complete an on-line entry form here.  You will be contacted by the Tournament Secretary once your entry has been processed, which will be within a few days in normal circumstances.  There is no need to send in a paper form as well, just write the tournament name on the back of the cheque. Your entry cheque to confirm your place should be sent to the Tournament Secretary.
  2. Download the CA tournament application form here, then print it and send it off together with your cheque.
Whichever method you use, please give an email address if at all possible. If you wish to use an electronic transfer payment, please contact the Tournament Secretary by email.  Entries and cheques (payable to Sussex County Croquet Club) should be sent to John Low, 34 Eley Drive, Brighton, BN2 7FH.

If you want to check the status of your entry, click here.  It will show:
  • entry sent (on-line entry only) - you have requested a place but the Tournament Secretary has not yet acted on your request.
  • provisional - your entry have been received and a place allocated.
  • confirmed - your payment has been received.
  • reserve - the list is currently full but you have been added to the reserve list.
  • withdrawn - you have cancelled your request for a place.
Withdrawing from open tournaments
If you withdraw from an open tournament before the closing date, the club will return your entry fee, but will in general charge an administrative fee of £5.00
Withdrawal after the closing date (generally one week before the tournament date) will result in the loss of the entry fee. Privacy
Only  your name and the status of your entry is shown in the tournament list on the website.  However, if you wish to keep your entry private, please enter by post and ensure the Tournament Secretary is aware of your request.

Please report problems or errors to the Tournament Secretary.
